In 1852, John Moorby Reed's small family textile weaving business helped lead the creation and building of the Lancashire textile mills – an integral part of the Industrial Revolution.
The family coat of arms was awarded to the Reed family by the College of Arms in London. It's design incorporates family and cotton weaving references into every detail.
